Overview

The growth in energy services, be it electricity, heat, water, electric vehicles (EV) or energy efficiency has been dramatic and will continue apace. With businesses facing pressure on energy costs, carbon reductions and energy efficiency, there is an increasing desire to manage their energy supply, outsource services and/or explore on-site energy generation.

Generators – and suppliers themselves – face grid constraints and concern over secure revenues for energy production. As a result, the generation of on-site energy (both heat and electricity) is becoming an increasingly attractive prospect.

Our lawyers are at the cutting edge of energy efficiency, EV roll out and financing on-site supply projects and energy service companies (ESCOs).

With expert knowledge of the sector – and the commercial needs of our clients – we are renowned for our innovative approach to ESCOs, working with developers, new licenced suppliers, local authorities and community groups. Our lawyers really understand the regulatory complications involved in this area and are able to solve complex issues for our clients.
